Hide-A-Hose system
A central vacuum system with even more convenience. As the hose is always within reach and ready for use, it is more convenient to use than a traditional vacuum hose. With this system, the vacuum hose is also integrated in the wall. The vacuum hose is neatly hidden in the pipework in the wall and disappears as soon as you have finished vacuuming.
Start
Simply pull the hose out of the wall and start vacuuming.
Vacuum
Vacuuming without heavy hoover in hand.
Storage
When you are done, you unlock the hose and the hoover sucks it back into the piping.
Hide-A-Hose: the hose that disappears into the wall
Anyone who has a central vacuum system knows how it's done: hose out of the cabinet, from dust contact to dust contact, roll up, store. It works, but it's cumbersome. The Hide-A-Hose system solves that in a way that is simpler than you might expect.
How does it work?
The principle is simple. The hose is not stored separately, but is permanently located in the PVC piping behind the wall. At each dust contact, there is a hose that you pull out of the wall. You decide how far you pull the hose out. Lock the hose to the desired length and start vacuuming.
Ready? Then the central unit's suction automatically pulls the hose back into the wall.
No coiled hose on the ground. No hassle with storage. The hose is invisible when not in use, but always ready for use, behind any dust contact!
The lock: an important detail
With Hide-A-Hose's patented locking mechanism, you can lock the hose at any length, allowing you to work without having to pull the hose out completely.
Suitable for new and existing homes
Hide-A-Hose is both easy to install in new construction and retrofit in existing homes. The prerequisite for existing construction is access to a crawl space or attic for concealing the pipework. This is because the Hide-A-Hose system uses so-called long-beam bends, which take up more space than the standard 51mm PVC.
This is precisely why new-build houses and large-scale renovations lend themselves perfectly to installation of the Hide-A-Hose system!
Important to know: existing central vacuum systems that already have short-jet bends are not suitable for conversion to a Hide-A-Hose system.
Hose length and coverage
Hide-A-Hose is available in four hose lengths: 8, 10, 12, and 15 metres. This means that you can do with fewer connection points than with a conventional system, where we recommend limiting the hose length to 9 metres. Often, one Hide-A-Hose dust outlet per floor is enough.
For installers and private individuals
Hide-A-Hose is a system that sells itself as soon as people see it in use. For installers, it offers clear added value in the advice conversation: it is concrete, it is visibly different, and it solves a complaint that customers rarely name out loud but almost always recognise. That hose is just tricky.
For individuals who already have a central system or have one installed, it is an upgrade that makes daily use fundamentally more pleasant.
